In this lesson students will explore explore line and shape while creating a foam-printed abstract family portrait inspired by studio Arhoj and Roger Hargreaves illustrations. students will analyse the abstract shapes evident in sculptures, illustrations, and artworks. They will also explore the role of lines and shapes in conveying personality. Students will sketch their family portraits, using abstract shapes and lines to represent each family member. They will then transfer their drawings onto a foam surface before printing their design on paper using acrylic paint.
