In this lesson students will explore lino cutting and relief printmaking through the creation of a bold, simplified design inspired by contemporary illustrator Samantha Curcio. Students will learn to translate drawings into printable compositions by understanding positive and negative space. They will develop technical skills in carving, inking and printing while exploring how line, shape and colour communicate visual impact.
