In this lesson students will explore the concepts of resilience, creativity, community and public art to create a cardboard building inspired by the book The Artist by Ed Vere. Students will work on recycled cardboard using sketching, paint slicks, water blending and outlining to express personal ideas. They will experiment with street-art techniques, collaborate on a city installation, and reflect on mistakes, creative growth and the importance of permission in public art.
