In this lesson students will explore bold mark-making and graphic composition, exploring how line, repetition and pattern can be used to fill a shaped surface with visual energy. Drawing on the iconic doodle style of Keith Haring, students will create a shaped cardboard canvas and use black paint markers to build a layered doodle composition that communicates ideas about movement, community or social issues through graphic visual language.
