In this lesson students explore shape and space to create a cityscape using chalk pastels. Students use paper to cut out the silhouette of different buildings as a template for their cityscape. Using chalk pastels and starting from the bottom of their page students outline the cut out shapes and smudge the pastel outwards from the shape. Students continue to repeat this process moving up the page until they have filled out most of their composition.
