In this lesson students will explore Gel Plate monoprinting, texture-making, and collage construction while exploring the themes of pattern, repetition, and creature design. Students will apply the techniques of pulling prints, using ghost prints, and layering cut shapes to construct an expressive animal collage inspired by Clare Youngs’ approach to handmade, patterned paper art.

Learning outcomes:
