In this lesson students explore shape, space, and contrast while studying the works of Carmen Herrera. Students will use coloured pencils to draw various shapes, covering a sheet of paper in pattern. Following this, they will use a black marker to craft contrasting
shapes on top of their initial layer, creating a mix of positive and negative spaces within their work.
